Swirling mists caress the skin,
Kissing us in delicate blessing of life and love,
Singing of love’s power and gentle touch

She opens her heart, and sheds her tears
Crying in the joy of the newborn’s unquestioning love.

The mists pull and lift,
Turning us about,
A chorus of unity that
Blends, changes, and transforms

We kiss and embrace, softly at first
Then harder
Our mouths expressing what they cannot say

She opens her soul,
And the blinding radiance of love
Fills the dark corners of the room
Echoing back with each breath

She opens herself to me
As I open myself to her
I cannot wear my masks
I cannot be what I am not
Cannot who I am not

I kiss her with my heart,
